Explore the diverse histories of Derbyshire people and contribute to an ongoing conversation about how our history makers can be empowered in museum spaces in the new Derby Museums exhibition History Makers: Unfolded.
Following on from the previous History Makers exhibition in 2022, where Women’s Work and our CEO Dionne Reid were celebrated for their contributions to Derby’s history, Derby Museum has launched a new exhibition building on those conversations started last year and Women’s Work has once again been asked to feature!
History Makers: Unfolded will run from July 2023 to March 2024. This second instalment continues to explore individual and collective experiences, uncover untold stories, and celebrate inspiring legacies. Visitors can contribute their own stories and memories around important historical moments, as history makers in their own right. An interactive project lab also encourages visitors to share their thoughts on representation in museums.
Our new Women’s Work Booklet, giving a brief history of our charity, is also available to buy at the Derby Museum store.
So please go and visit, entry to the exhibition is free!
