Committed to supporting vulnerable women and their families

We are continually looking for new partners to grow and develop more services for the women of Derbyshire and their children.

Throughout our history we have built a sound reputation as a professional service provider working with, and supporting, women with the most challenging and complex needs. Our one-stop-shop model of support is tailored to individual needs and enhanced by working with a wide range of external agencies across Derbyshire, particularly health and education providers.

Professional partnerships

We welcome support from corporate partners, who wish to place their charity activities right at the heart of their businesses.

Associating your company with us and supporting the work we do will inspire your employees and clients, set you apart from your competitors and identify you as a socially responsible business.

A growing reach across the country

We work with a wide range of external agencies across Derbyshire, particularly health and education providers.

We have a flagship 5,000 sq metre main office based in Derby and have extended our work and reach across the county delivering in probation offices, HMP Foston Hall, community centres and schools. We have strong partnerships with accredited training providers who deliver to clients on our behalf and building on our knowledge and experience we are exploring the opportunities of sharing our skills and knowledge with other organisations that share our aims and objectives.

I find Women’s Work a safe place to go when I need somewhere to listen to me without judgement.

Member – Below the Radar

I can’t thank Women’s Work enough for their kindness help and guidance which has enabled me to help women within the community. Just seeing the positive impact Women’s Work makes on service users has made me so proud to be part of the volunteer team. Thank you Women’s Work for all that you do for women and thank you so much for letting me be part of that.

Debra Wilson – Volunteer

I joined because I have always volunteered in one way or another and given my time, but I always wanted to do something that was personal to me. If facilities like Women’s Work had been available when I was growing up that could have helped my mum, I would have had a better childhood. It makes me happy giving back to the service users and helping them feel empowered, even if its something small that does so.

After doing the Anger Management Programme, I recognise my triggers now and I can open up more and talk.

Member – Anger Management

I joined the charity because the belief and values that were used to support and encourage vulnerable women and families are also a part of my beliefs and values. Also, the programmes that were developed are encouraging and useful. The staff are committed and helpful. Here at Women’s work the goal is to make a difference in individual lives and by far that is the best part of volunteering for me.

Runell – Volunteer Counsellor

After doing the Anger Management programme, I am now able to walk away from situations rather than hurt someone
