Committed to supporting vulnerable women and their families

We are continually looking for new partners to grow and develop more services for the women of Derbyshire and their children.

Throughout our history we have built a sound reputation as a professional service provider working with, and supporting, women with the most challenging and complex needs. Our one-stop-shop model of support is tailored to individual needs and enhanced by working with a wide range of external agencies across Derbyshire, particularly health and education providers.

Professional partnerships

We welcome support from corporate partners, who wish to place their charity activities right at the heart of their businesses.

Associating your company with us and supporting the work we do will inspire your employees and clients, set you apart from your competitors and identify you as a socially responsible business.

A growing reach across the country

We work with a wide range of external agencies across Derbyshire, particularly health and education providers.

We have a flagship 5,000 sq metre main office based in Derby and have extended our work and reach across the county delivering in probation offices, HMP Foston Hall, community centres and schools. We have strong partnerships with accredited training providers who deliver to clients on our behalf and building on our knowledge and experience we are exploring the opportunities of sharing our skills and knowledge with other organisations that share our aims and objectives.

I can’t thank Women’s Work enough for their kindness help and guidance which has enabled me to help women within the community. Just seeing the positive impact Women’s Work makes on service users has made me so proud to be part of the volunteer team. Thank you Women’s Work for all that you do for women and thank you so much for letting me be part of that.

Debra Wilson – Volunteer

One of the main reasons I chose to volunteer is to empower women to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. By volunteering, I not only contribute to the community but also experience personal growth and development, knowing that I am part of a supportive and collaborative environment that positively impacts the lives of others. I enjoy volunteering at Women’s Work because of the incredibly supportive and encouraging staff members and other volunteers that create a nurturing environment. Their constant presence and unwavering support make it a truly uplifting experience.

After doing the Anger Management Programme, I recognise my triggers now and I can open up more and talk.

Member – Anger Management

The Change programme has given me a more positive outlook on doing group activities. The topics were interesting and helped me to see my own views and the importance of them in life.

Member – Change Programme

After doing Healthy relationships, I have better knowledge about abusive relationships and can now recognise the red warning flags in the early stages. I have learnt to love myself, and will not allow anyone to control or abuse me anymore

Member – Healthy Relationships

Thank you Women’s Work for all your hard work on helping families like my own, rekindle parent-child relationships in a positive and supportive homely environment. I would like to give a particular thank you to Linda, who has been very supportive to both parties.
