Committed to supporting vulnerable women and their families

Women can come to us in a range of ways.

Either from a referral by another agency or a health provider for instance or perhaps they’ve just got in touch because they’ve heard about what we do by word of mouth and think we can help.

The first step is an invitation to a one-to-one meeting with one of our staff to consider what issues need to be addressed and what support we could offer. From that meeting, an Action Plan is agreed.

We offer a holistic person-centred approach which means that you will be offered a package of support that is tailored to you to address the particular challenges that you face.

As you progress on your journey, you will receive 1-2-1 support from a project worker and have access to additional services that will help you to build the necessary life skills, self-confidence as well as qualifications that will help turn your life around.

You will get the opportunity to meet other women and receive support from our counsellors, as well as get practical help through our clothing and food banks and advice on housing and debt.

Referrals

If you would like to make a referral please complete the Women’s Work (Derbyshire) Ltd Referral form. A member of staff will contact you when we have assessed the referral. This can take up to 3 weeks.

Referrals can be made by agency staff or by a woman wanting to self-refer. If you are self-referring you do not need to complete the section on Referrer’s details at the top of the form.

If you have any problems with the form, or any queries, or would prefer to refer over the phone, please contact us on 01332 242 525.
