Would you like to volunteer as a counsellor & help local women?

At Women's Work, we are passionate about helping women from the most deprived and troubled backgrounds to gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed and make positive and lasting life changes that will improve their overall health and well-being.

We offer a counselling service for women over 18 who have experienced various trauma including low self-esteem, identity issues, adverse childhood experiences, drugs/alcohol addiction, neglect, harassment, and all forms of abuse.

We currently offer three student placements and seven placements for qualified counsellors. More information on the role and the criteria for each placement can be found using the documents below;

If you wish to contact us for any further information about the placements, please send us an email for the attention of the Project Counselling Co-Ordinator at info@womens-work.org.uk or call the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays on 01332 242 525 and ask for the Project Counselling Co-Ordinator.

Please note: All succesful applicants will be required to attend the Women's Work office, based in Derby, for a face to face induction. There will be an expectation to attend the Women's Work office to provide face to face counselling sessions.
