We are looking for a Treasurer
January 29, 2026
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Board of Trustees as a Treasurer.
Women’s Work is a National Award Winning Charity founded in 2003. We aim to deliver a holistic, person centred support service to vulnerable and disadvantaged women with complex health and social needs. We do this by ensuring they can access support, education and information to raise self-esteem and confidence, empowering them to make positive life choices resulting in improved health and well-being.
We are looking for a new dynamic individual to be our Treasurer. The Trustees acting together govern Women’s Work, safeguarding its assets and applying them as efficiently and effectively as possible to further Women’s Work objectives as set out in it’s governing document.
The Treasurer will oversee the financial strategy of Women’s Work in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and report to the Board of Trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation.
The Treasurer will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for Women’s Work. The time commitment will be six (6) board meetings per year. The Treasurer is also expected to have regular meetings with the Chief Executive and Finance Manager.
The role of Treasurer is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for travel may be claimed.
